Guatemala Bound...

Baby Rock's first mission trip will be March 10-16, 2007 as I lead a medical mission trip to Guatemala. Below are prayer requests that the team wrote out together. Personally, I would add to this to please pray for me to handle potential motion sickness as we travel winding roads in the mountains of Guatemala. Thanks in advance for praying!!!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Guatemala Specifics

*That God would prepare the hearts of the Guatemala people
*For God to save the lost Guatemala people
*For team to encourage believers in Guatemala
*Ministry to kids and adults (Bible studies, activities)
*Minimal chaos during clinic (team must adjust to uncomfortable
situations and the crowds)

Team Specifics

*Team’s time with God (before, during, and after trip)
*Final preparations before leaving amidst busy schedules
*That the team would not doubt that God can use them
*Remember that the mission is about God, not us

their physical condition

Baby Rock at 9 Weeks (7 weeks gestational)

After an emotional first doctor visit, we finally saw Baby Rock on the ultrasound. Because my uterus is retroverted (not a problem), my doctor could not find the fetus with the ultrasound initially. After a second try another way, Baby Rock was easily visible and wiggling around. Seeing the heart beat was amazing! We are so thankful!!!
Baby Rock is due September 27 according to one nurse and September 26 according to another. Apparently, due dates do not mean much except that your baby is due within 2 weeks of that date. Ha! So, we are going with the 27th since that is Kailyn McCarley's birthday. :)

Why "Baby Rock?"

Some of you have asked why we call him or her Baby Rock. He or she is our Little Rock baby...simple enough. :)
