Pulling Up and Cruising
Pulling Up for Daddy
"Look Mommy, No Hands"

Well, today was Alex's last day of Mother's Day Out until the Fall. She went just a few hours each Thursday. She really enjoyed watching the other babies and playing. Alex was the youngest baby in there so she was always learning new things watching the older ones. Her latest is the weird growl sound. She might have learned it from one of her sound making toys, but it is kind of scary sounding. I'll try to video her doing it and post it. Laura and Shana (left to rt in pic) were great with her at MDO. Thanks ladies!

One of the workers letting Alex flirt with an 11 month old while we painted the background on the plate.
Alex had fun while a worker painted her feet.
Alex not so sure about them sticking her foot to the plate.
Here goes foot number two.
"I'm going to crinkle my toes so they can't stick this foot on there."
"Well, tickling my foot made me straighten my toes."
The hostesses with Elizabeth (L to R: Layla, Elizabeth, me, Stacie)
My sweet medical student, Meghan, babysat Alex for me during the shower.
Alex and Reagan sporting their green bows together (unplanned again).
Alex riding Clay and Jennifer's dog, Sabrina, at the river. Go to The Glasgow Family link to learn more about what Sabrina "says." We all went walking on Sunday and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every time Alex petted Sabrina, she would laugh. It was so cute. She loves dogs.
Me at 29 weeks preggo and me holding almost 8 month old Alex in same spot at river.
A few weeks ago, we showed up to church and the girls in the nursery were all wearing pink and green. So cute!
Alex's first experience in the pool. She enjoyed the water overall. This was the pool on our getaway to the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs.
Alex's first time in the pool.
Gazing at the beautiful lake on a boat ride at my dad's house in Shreveport, LA
Alex driving my dad's pontoon boat
Alex with Annette (my stepmom), her "Nana"
Alex with my dad, her "Papaw"
Chris was so excited to find passion fruit at 2 Krogers recently that he wanted it to make the blog. We discovered this wonderful fruit when we lived in Australia 8 years ago. It is yummy on ice cream or in yogurt. :) Since it took Chris 8 years to find it here (and he has been looking), he bought extra and froze it.

Rocking like crazy
Layla hosted a 30th birthday bash for myself and her as we both turned 30 in April. Layla is second from end on left. She announced to all that day that she is preggo with #2 due in November. The hubbies are there, but they are not into pics like the girls. :)
Alex and Jacob (about 4 mos younger, yet same height or taller)
Alex in her prison outfit
Alex has been pulling the bumper pads down to look out of her crib. This time, she fell asleep while looking around. Now, she can push up high enough to look over the bumper pads.
Hostessing shower for Jennifer (in front on left) who is due June 5

The 2008 Guatemala Medical Mission Team. I did not go this year, but they are special as I spent many weeks with them as they prepared to go.
Being cute as always :)
Meeting Daniel for the first time. Elizabeth is a pro baby deliverer.
Caroline attended play group while her mommy was having her little brother, Daniel. Notice her shirt. Daniel was born that afternoon. Yes, Caroline is sitting in our fridge. She just sat right down when I opened it once. Come to think of it, Chris thinks it is a good place to sit down and relax...cool, food and drinks at your fingertips. :)
Little Evangeline (Evan is 2 months older than Alex) came to play group for the first time this week. At one point, the moms were not paying attention and we heard a long shreek. Oh yeah, Alex had Evan's hair gripped into her hand and she was pulling it. Poor Evan! Thankfully, Alex is past seeing hair pulling as a novelty. Unfortunately, Evan has never been back. :(
