Zoo day with Daddy at the end of his 6 weeks home with us. So thankful his research month fell the month after David's birth. Thank you, God!
David's one month birthday at the zoo...he napped the whole time except for nursing on the way out.
As you can tell, Alex preferred walking more than riding at the zoo. However, the stroller was great for her when we had to go a long stretch or if we were in a hurry. I so hope to get a double stroller soon to hold them both.

We traveled to MS several weeks ago when David was only 4 weeks old. This was our first trip with 2 kiddos. The traveling went fine, but logistics with 2 kids was crazy when we had functions to attend. It was a whirlwind trip like always in which I only took 5 pics. :( We got to visit lots of people including Aunt Tammy, Uncle Andy, Kelly, Amy, Aunt Cathy, Hunter, Anna Cate, Mimi, Grandaddy, Nancy, Billy, Grandmother and Aunt Lisa. This pic depicts our exhaustion as none of us slept well while away. Alex would ask to take her nap sometimes as she was pooped from a busy schedule and lack of night time sleep. Poor thing!
Little man napped all over the place on our trip - couch, car seat, packnplay, on top of beds, on chest, wherever... Traveling with little ones, especially newborns, made me even more thankful to be back in the comfort of our own home.
Creative Aunt Cathy showing Alex how to eat applesauce with a toothbrush as we didn't have a spoon on hand at the hotel. ha!
Picnic at Pinnacle Mountain July 4th weekend
Brother and sisterly love
Alex enjoying the seesaw with a girl she met at the park
Getting ready to walk the trail
Alex is still our social butterfly who befriends people just about anywhere we go.

Us at our 4th of July cookout
The Ramsey Family - Jason, Layla, Reagan and Reese
Jacob, Haven Rose and Becky. Haven was born 4 days before David.
As Layla put it on her blog, "The big kids." They all have younger siblings now.
"Can I please water your plants?"
Sporting July 4th spirit overall style...the only red, white and blue he had. Thanks for the hand me downs Iris. :)
Alex often brings David a stuffed animal and props it next to him. She has even been known to stack layers of them on top of him in the bouncey seat or swing. Yesterday, I found her throwing them over the crib rail to be in the bed with him. Thankfully, none hit him.
Playtime with Samantha so mommies could visit
Whenever Alex hears me tell David he is about to play in the jungle gym or have tummy time, she races to the jungle gym just to be next to him. She has really grown to love him and often calls him "my David."
My first adventure in the grocery store with both kiddos this past week. It went suprisingly well. Alex played in the car the whole time while David slept. The most difficult part was having enough room for the groceries as the carrier only fit diagonal in the buggy leaving only small pockets for groceries. Alex was a big help and let me pile stuff in the car with her. ha! And thankfully, Kroger offers to help carry out groceries. I totally took them up on it and the guy even loaded my car!
Alex turned 22 months old yesterday. We celebrated by going to the Spray Park in downtown Little Rock. Alex had a blast!

Then, we landed at Iriana's Pizza for lunch...YUM YUM!
