Baby Shower
We had a baby shower for my friends from Nepal, Jasmine (in pink) and Rabindra on Saturday night. They are expecting their first baby in January. I had to take Alex to the shower with me because Chris was on call. Her sleep schedule was royally messed up after last night and this morning at church. We had to wake her from one of her naps today after 3 hours as she was zonked out. Hoping she sleeps ok tonight. :)

Baby Dedication
We dedicated Alex to the Lord publicly this morning at our church. It was a sweet service. And yes, Alex did wonderful. She looked around and even smiled at Graeme (worship pastor who did the service) when he looked at her during the dedication time.

Psalm 126:3 "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."
Hebrews 11:6 - "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Our prayer for Alex that was printed in the church bulletin:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving us this precious gift of life. Thank you for trusting us with your amazing creation. You have blessed us more than we could have imagined with this child. Lord, as you have given Alex to us, we give her back to you to do with her as you want. We desire to raise her your way. Give us wisdom as we do this. Help us not to lean on our own understanding, but trust you completely with Alex. Guide us in how to love, discipline, care for, raise, comfort, give to, play with, and teach her. Lead us in how to teach her about you and how to serve you. Father, reveal yourself to her. We pray that Alex comes to know, love, fear, worship, serve, and share you. Help us do everything we can to make sure she is taught your Word and shown first hand what it means to walk with you. Protect our marriage and grow us closer to you as we are united in raising Alex for you. We also pray that this church body will help us raise this child by pointing her to you as well. May we honor you with this responsibility. We love you and praise you!
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Thanksgiving
Alex experienced her first trek to MS. She was loved on by many family and friends.

While at my mom's house, "we" tackled putting together a desk that mom had bought at Walmart. It had 4 pages of parts (way too many pieces!!!) Chris did about 90% of it by himself as we were distracted with babies and cooking. It took us all day. We do not ever recommend assembling furniture like this!!! However, it turned out good with no extra pieces...Chris did a great job!

9 Weeks Old
At nine weeks old, Alex went for her 2 month old check up and weighed 11 lbs 11 oz. Most people say she looks "big." Her double chin probably starts those accusations. However, she is a chunk...a cute one at that. :) She is sporting a 3 month old sleeper in this pic. She is enjoying her crib mobile, part of her early morning waketime.
