Just because the neighborhood pool closed for the summer didn't stop us from having our very own pool time. We acquired this discounted pool from the end of summer sales to enjoy more water splashing on the deck out back. Of course, Alex loved it: splashed, played, sat, stood, sat, stood, climbed in and out, etc...This proved to be much easier than loading up to go to the pool. No sunscreen required as we found a shady spot and no packing up. However, we did miss our pool friends. Yes, that is an acorn in her hand...aka "ba-all" because it is round. This is going to be a long process to teach her that everything round is not a ball. ha!

Looks like she is having a great time! I can't believe how hot it still is outside. I'm ready for some fall weather!
My daughter Addison called everything that was round a ball also..pumpkins, apples, etc. She grew out of it pretty quickly. I just kept telling her the right name for each thing and she eventually got it. She's a cutie!
how fun! she is such a big girl now!
